ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The VOCAL EXAMINATION WORKSHOP will give vocals students, teachers, accompanists and parents an opportunity to learn about the vocal examination program.
Registered voice students will have the opportunity to perform examination repertoire for a Royal Conservatory Vocal Examiner in preparation for upcoming exams. Our Guest examiner and vocal specialist, Dr. Joan Heels will discuss the examination procedure, perform a mock exam and then provide written and verbal feedback for all participants. An open question and answer period will follow for everyone.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
PARTICIPANTS: Registered Vocal Students will perform one selection from the 2005 RCM vocal Syllabus. Please bring two original copies of your music to the workshop. An accompanist will be provided at the workshop. Participants must register in advance to reserve a performance spot. Spots are very limited please register early.
COST TO PARTICIPATE: $25
AUDITORS: Vocalists, teachers, parents and accompanists are welcome to observe this workshop. Dr. Joan Heels will perform a mock examination and will be discussing the examination program. She will also be addressing some of the common mistakes made by teachers, students and accompanists during examinations.
COST TO AUDIT: $10 / $5 FOR ORMTA MEMBERS and Parents.
